Once you meet and complete Xu Dog’s Medicine Making Quest, you’ll unlock the ability to, well, make medicines! You’ll have an initial list of curatives you can craft, but after that, you’ll need to seek our Formulas that you can hand over to Xu Dog and increase the number of recipes you can craft. You can purchase new Formulas from Xu Dog at his shop in each Chapter of Black Myth: Wukong.

Unlocking the Page Preserver Achievement¶

As mentioned above, to unlock the Page Preserver Trophy/Achievement, you must seek out and collect all 14 Formulas in Black Myth: Wukong. Many of these can be purchased from Xu Dog himself, while others may be hidden in chests in the massive areas that you traverse throughout your journey. The table below will show you where you can find every Formula, along with what it unlocks and the Chapter it can be found in.

Body-Fleeting Powder	3	Starting at New Thunderclap Temple - Temple Entrance, go through the temple in front of the shrine, then go up the stairs and down the stairs to your left. Climb to the top floor and go right across the bridge to find the box at the end (after the horse guai)
Essence Decoction	4	Purchase from Xu Dog’s Shop at the Cellar Shrine or Zodiac Village
Enhanced Ginseng Pellets	4	Starting at the Webbed Hollow - The Verdure Bridge Shrine, go across the bridge and approach the doorway in front for a scene. After, go inside and open a chest
Mirage Pill	4	Starting at the Webbed Hollow - The Verdure Bridge Shrine, keep heading down to reach an opening with the Scorpion Prince Spirit. Go up the stairs behind him and loot the small chest to your right
Life-Saving Pill	4	From the Purple Cloud Mountain - Cloudnest Peak Shrine, head right and you’ll find a box with the Formula. This is the Secret Area for Chapter 4
Loong Aura Amplification Pellets	5	Purchase from Xu Dog’s Shop at the Cellar Shrine or Zodiac Village
Septenary Heartfire Pill	5	Starting at the Bishui Cave - Purge Pit Shrine, jump onto the ledge near the shrine - easiest to do by jumping and heavy attacking at the same time. This is the Secret Area for Chapter 5
Ascension Powder	6	Dropped by the Supreme Inspector at the start of Chapter 6
Soul Remigration Pill	New Game+	Purchase from Xu Dog’s Shop at the Cellar Shrine or Zodiac Village
