You can nab the Practice Sword from the Sparring Hall. (left), It’s designed for training, but it’s still capable of felling weak foes. (right)

The Practice Sword is the first sword you’ll obtain in the game. As its name suggests, it’s mainly used for training purposes, so it’s not particularly strong. However, it’s still a proper sword, so you can use it to cut down grass and wood.

Where to Find¶

You’ll find the Practice Sword inside the treasure chest inside the Skyloft Sparring Hall, at the back. Technically, you’ll only “borrow” the sword, but you’ll never need to return it.

Upgrades¶

The Practice Sword will be replaced by the Goddess Sword after entering the Goddess Statue.
