Carry the Sacks to the Pantry¶
You haven’t been allowed access to the castle where Sir Hans needs to deliver his message, so you’ll find yourself at a tavern in Troskowitz trying to come up with a solution instead, but you haven’t got the Groschen to pay off your bill so you’ll have to work for it instead. Head over to the nearby trough and wash yourself up, then speak with the woman from the pond (blue dress) but she’ll pretend to not know anything so she won’t be much help.
Innkeeper Betty will allow you to work off your debt by simply moving some sacks from the cart to the pantry, but before you begin we recommend asking her all of the possible questions as she’ll point you in the direction of some people you can talk to about Semine’s upcoming wedding. Head over to Miller Kreyzl and Blacksmith Radovan who can be found sitting at one of the tables and ask them more questions about the wedding to learn what you can do to get an invite.
It’s now time to get on with the task at hand, you can try to convince Hans Capon to help you but he will refuse and you’ll end up losing some reputation so it’ll be best if you just get on with it alone. Head over to the cart (found near the fence) and grab the sack, then make your way into the tavern and place it in the room to the right. Repeat this process three times and then you’ll notice Hans has got into an altercation with Svatya.
Defend Capon¶
You’ll be able to intervene by choosing of the three options, but none of them will change the outcome so you may want to select “Stop insulting our dead companions” to increase your reputation slightly. A fight will now break out but you won’t be able to win so you’ll need to try and survive until the guards arrive and this can be done by playing more defensively. The best way to get through this encounter is by primarily guarding until you successfully parry one of their attacks and then strike back once otherwise you’ll probably miss and waste your stamina.
The guards will eventually arrive and break up the fight and then you’ll find yourself in the stocks arguing with Hans. You’ll have several dialogue choices but none of them will affect the story so it’s safe to choose what you truly feel but you may lose a bit of reputation. After the cutscene, you’ll now be alone and it’s time to explore all the Medieval Bohemia has to offer.
