There are 39 different types of treasure in Resident Evil 4 Remake, and some of them can be combined with gems to increase their value. Read below to find out the best way to combine the treasures for maximum value.
You can increase the value of your treasures by combining gems in a specific order.
How to Combine Gems and Treasures¶
Combining your treasures with the various gems you pick up throughout the game is simple. Go to the inventory menu, select the treasures tab, then select the treasure you wish to combine. After selecting a treasure, you’ll get a menu showing you “Inlay Gemstones”. This will take you to the combination page where you can choose your gems, and select what slot to place them in. You’ll get a bigger multiplier depending on how you place your gems.

Best Gemstone Bonuses¶
Here is a list of the best gem combinations to get a bonus to your multiplier when selling treasure.

Gem Types¶
When you find treasure during the game, some will come with empty gem sockets. This can be from one socket up to five. The gems that you find come in two different shapes, oval, and rectangular. Ruby, Sapphire, and Yellow Diamond are oval while Emerald, Alexandrite, and Red Beryl are rectangular.
How to Get the Astute Appraiser Trophy/Achievement¶
Elegant Crown - 3 Rectangle, 2 Oval Slots¶
If you combine the Elegant Crown with a specific set of gems, you can obtain the Astute Appraiser trophy/achievement when you sell it.
The Elegant Crown is the most valuable treasure in the game when combined with the following gemstones:
- Rectangle - Emerald (green)
- Rectangle - Alexandrite (purple)
- Rectangle - Red Beryl (red)
- Oval - Sapphire (blue)
- Oval - Yellow Diamond (yellow)
This will give you a 2x multiplier due to the five different colors. Completing it as above will reward you with the Astute Appraiser trophy/achievement.
Most Valuable Treasure Combinations¶
Here we will list each treasure and its most valuable combination. This may involve saving the treasures until you find the correct gems before you sell them, but it will give you the most bang for your buck.
Ornate Necklace - 2 Rectangle, 2 Oval Slots¶
The Ornate Necklace has four slots. Two Rectangle, and two Oval.
Next up is the Ornate Necklace as the most valuable treasure when combined with the following gemstones:
- Rectangle - Red Beryl (red)
- Rectangle - Red Beryl (red)
- Oval - Ruby (red)
- Oval - Ruby (red)
This will give you a 1.7x multiplier due to all the gems being the same color.
Chalice of Atonement - 3 Rectangle Slots¶
The Chalice of Atonement has three slots. All of them being Rectangle.
Next up is the Chalice of Atonement as the most valuable treasure when combined with the following gemstones:
- Rectangle - Red Beryl (red)
- Rectangle - Red Beryl (red)
- Rectangle - Red Beryl (red)
This will give you a 1.3x multiplier due to all the gems being the same color.
Golden Lynx - 1 Rectangle, 2 Oval Slots¶
