If you like the beast-collecting mechanic in Hogwarts Legacy, then you will need to start finding beast dens. Beasts provide you with the ingredients you need to upgrade your gear. These are located in every region of the map, including the Hogwarts Valley region. The guide below goes over how to find and catch every beast in Hogwarts Valley.

Overview¶

There are six different beasts that you can find in Hogwarts Valley, including the Hippogriff.

Puffskein Den¶

Puffskein are the easiest beasts to capture in the game, and these are located east of the Brocburrow hamlet. When cared for in your Vivarium, they give you Puffskein Fur.

Kneazle Den¶

The Kneazle den is located south of the Brocburrow hamlet. Kneazle are lazy, so they can be caught easily. They will give you Kneazle fur when cared for in your Vivarium.

Diricawl Den¶

The Diricawl den is north of the Keenbridge hamlet near the mountains. When cared for, Diricawl will give you Diricawl feathers.

Niffler Den¶

The Niffler den is located on the side of a cliff on the other side of the river from the Keenbridge hamlet. Niffler will be able to provide you with Niffler Fur.

Hippogriff Den¶

The Hippogriff den is located south of the Niffler den. You should be able to get close enough to the Hippogriff to catch them before they all start flying around. If not, use Accio to help you get them close. When placed in your Vivarium, Hippogriff can provide you with Hippogriff Feathers.

Fwooper Den¶

The final den in Hogwarts Valley is located south of the Keenbridge hamlet. Fwooper are a flying beasts so use Accio to pull them close to you for easy capture. When cared for, Fwooper will provide you with Fwooper Feathers.
