The Devil’s Pack is the third (or fourth) Main Quest that takes place within the Kuttenberg Region in Kingdom Come Deliverance II. This quest immediately follows Speak of the Devil and will require you to bring the Dry Devil’s Band back together. Read on to find out where Janosh, Matthew, Adder, Bohuta and Ranyek have been hiding.

Finding Dry Devil’s Band Mates¶

You’re gonna need to get Dry Devil’s old band mates back together if you want any chance of getting Sir Hans Capon safely home, so head to Miskowitz which is located to the south of Devil’s Den and speak with Bailiff Crux to learn more about their whereabouts.

Heal Loyza and Rescue Janosh¶

We recommend rescuing Janosh to begin with as he’s the closest and there’s two ways of getting him out of the pillory, but we recommend taking the healing Loyza route as it’s a lot easier. Approach Loyza who can be found laying on the bed to the right of the bailiff and perform an examination to discover that he needs a bandage and a Chamomile Brew to get back on his feet.

If you haven’t got any bandages then they can be obtained by looting random chests or you can purchase them from certain NPC’s such as Bathhouse Owner Dorothy and Chamomile Brew’s can be easily be made at an Alchemy Bench if you have a small portion of Chamomile and Sage. Speak with the Bailiff once you’ve finished the treatment and he’ll give you a key (for a fee) and then free Janosh from the pillory which is located to the west.

Find Matthew¶

Matthew can be found hiding out in the woods to the west of Miskowitz collecting payment for the King and the easiest way to track him down is by fast traveling between Miskowitz and Suchdol as he’ll eventually stop you on your path. Speak with him and choose the following dialogue options - “What do you want from me?”, “Won’t you miss the gang”, “I understand”, “Revenge” and “Did you know there’s a bounty on your head?”.

Unfortunately, Matthew the Collector won’t heed the Dry Devil’s call but he’ll become available as a Skill Teacher so be sure to pay him a visit when you have some spare funds.

Find Adder¶

It’s now time to try and find Adder so make your way over to the inn which is located to the east of Miskowitz and speak with Innkeeper Wolfram Raus who can be found inside and he’ll point you in the direction of the butcher’s wife. Head to Pschitoky (northwest) and speak with Eve and choose the “I have to catch him” dialogue option to learn that Adder has been taken away from the village for a beating.

Head east from the village and you’ll reach a large tree that’s sitting by itself and then you’ll need to try and de-escalate the situation by choosing the “He belongs to the lord of Suchdol” dialogue option. They’ll let him go (literally) so approach the tree and interact with the rope to cut him down and then untie him.

Find Bohuta¶

You’ll now want to head north from the tree to reach Grund and then speak with Bohuta who can be found tending to the graves. He won’t agree to rejoin the Dry Devil’s band and if you try to convince him he’ll just get angry and you’ll lose reputation, so we recommend just doing as he asks and being on your way.

Find Ranyek¶

The last one on your list should be Raynek, head south of Grund via horse until you reach Bylany and speak with the Innkeeper who can be found outside the tavern and he’ll point you in the direction of some dice players. Talk to Zdena who can be found on the opposite side of the courtyard and agree to have a drink with him, then follow him to Ranyek’s last known location.

You’ll quickly discover Ranyek isn’t alive anymore and its an ambush but you can avoid having your money taken by completing an unpleasant task. Walk into the sewage and examine the center of the area to find his corpse and then take Ranyek’s Bow to the dice players to get them off your back. Once you’ve recruited everyone you can, return to the Devil’s Den and speak with the Dry Devil to trigger a scene and bring the quest to a close.
